About Michael Matte

Michael has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Professional Land and Resource Management and is a candidate for Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from UL. Michael possesses extremely strong market knowledge due to his long history in Lafayette. He continuously studies the real estate market within Lafayette and the Acadiana area to be able to always have relevant and accurate information to be able to assist his clients. As an Ambassador for One Acadiana, formerly the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Michael stays up to date on all aspects of business in the community. Michael has strong relationships with business, civic and political leaders in the area which allows him access to important, accurate, and timely information. Prior to Michael’s path into the real estate industry he worked in oil and gas as a petroleum landman. He is able to leverage the skills and experience gained in his prior career to be able to research and gather information necessary to provide the best service to his clients, as well as the negotiation skills necessary to obtain the best deal possible.
